Buying my Macbook...

So yep it's finally happening. I'm going to be buying my macbook in about an hour and I'm so freaking excited I think I might burst. It was about a year ago that I decided I wanted one, because my laptop is pretty bad (not going to lie but I feel like I'm about to cheat on it, I'm slagging it off whilst writing on it!) and it's just so pretty and such a good investment and ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! I have spent so long counting the pennies, scrimping on makeup, walking away from Costa (apart from the occasional times when it's cold, and I've had a bad day cause a girl's gotta get her happiness from somewhere). But after a whole year, and a trip to the bank that made me realise I have more money than I thought, it's about to happen.

I am a little worried though...my student discount card runs out tomorrow so I hope I don't lose the major money off offer, and I changed the macbook I wanted a week ago, I have changed my mind so much so I just went back …

The Necklace I Can't Take Off...

My friend bought me this necklace for my birthday, and I just had to share it. It's the most beautiful, delicate and elegant piece of jewellery. I love the fact it's a very yellow toned gold, as the shade flatters my skin tone really well. The fact that I've worn it every day for about 2 months now, and it's yet to go black, is testament to its quality. I've now got an obsession with Orelia's website....help me!

Things You Always Need To Travel With...

There are the standard things that you should always travel with, clothes and a toothbrush and all of that jazz, but I've come to realise that there are a few other bits that you definitely need to have in your suitcase.

Firstly I would say that for trips over a week long, travel wash is vital. I'm always trying to get my capsule wardrobe skills down and travel wash prevents the need for taking all of the clothes you own. Instead I take things I love, and will wear a lot and then just wash them once I've worn them. A lot of hotels or holiday lets have irons, but seeing as you're on holiday it doesn't matter too much if clothes are a little creased (not to self: take outfit photos at the start of the trip for this reason!). This one is pretty cheap.

A travel journal has become an essential for every trip regardless of how long I'm away for. As a blogger, I've already got a bit of a love for writing so I enjoy keeping a written record of everything I get up to…

The Review // Natural Collection

I've been interested in Natural Collection for a while, mainly because all of the products cost just £1.99 and there is such a wide range of bits available. Could this be too good to be true? I popped into boots a while back to pick up a few different products just to give the brand an overall try. It is worth mentioning that for under £10 I managed to pick up a face full of makeup....I still can't get over that!

The Concealer
I got this in the shade fair, it's really disappointing that there are 3 different shades as a little more variety is always a bonus. However this was a really good shade for me so I did get to try it properly. It is quite thick and really creamy, I'd go as far as saying that it blended like a dream. But, and it's a big but, it doesn't really seem to stick around. I mean, you could put powder on, and reapply, but that's not really what us busy bees want is it?

The Powder(s)
These are something a little bit special. I have the loose versio…

Blogging Bits I Don't Need But Want So Badly!

Any of you who have a blog will know that as soon as you got your site up and running, there was an immense level of pride that now you were officially a "blogger". I, of all people should know that, have you seen my title? And pretty unsurprisingly brands have started to realise that with this new found status is an addiction to shamelessly self-promoting that fact at every single available opportunity. Hey, who needs another notebook, when you can have a "blogging ideas" book? And somewhat unashamedly I'm kind of OK with all of my wishlists featuring blogging themed knick-knacks I don't need and probably won't ever use. Here are my picks, as if you need any more persuasion!

Spiral Notebook // T-Shirt // Pencils // Blogging Planner

OK so admittedly there aren't that many items that I can find at the moment so I'd thought I'd also pop in something that I so totally need to be given, I think I'm probably my biggest fan so it's pretty ap…

So You're Starting A-Levels....

Get me, two posts in the span of two days (and let's ignore the fact that it's to make up for not posting last week!). I also thought I ought to get this posted before I go back to school tomorrow so...

Ok, so in hindsight this post isn't necessarily a good idea considering I recently got my AS results which were not as good as I'd hoped for, but I was thinking about what I wish I'd known before I started year 12. Seeing as I know several people that are about to start year 12, I thought I'd share my tips, there are so many others though so do please let me know if you've got any more to add to the list!
Be organised, it's a boring one but probably the most important because simple things such as leaving your filing for a month will result in a mass of notes on your bedroom floor, followed by 4 hours organising and several teary breakdowns...no pressure (that was a particular low point last year)! You will be a lot more independent so it is super importan…

Makeup: Cheap Vs Expensive?

Now this is a long running debate in the blogosphere but one that I do feel quite strongly about (I'm talking as if it's a serious world issue!). Nowadays it seems like the price difference between "highstreet" and "luxury" makeup brands can be astronomical and often that price difference comes with a whole long list of claims and supposed benefits. Being a student myself, I'll always find myself gravitating towards the cheaper end of the spectrum, but that doesn't mean that I'm not prepared to save up for and splurge on an innovative, albeit pricey, product.

I think it's worth outlining my general thoughts now and then I'll explain further later. I think that most products are much of a muchness, the price point tends not to make too much of a difference in terms of quality. However I do think that there will always be inspiring products that due to their marketability are more costly. Similarly though there are products on the highstre…
